Model Manajemen Berbasis Pesantren dalam Penguatan Karakter Peserta Didik

Penelitian ini mengkaji model manajemen berbasis pesantren sebagai pendekatan strategis dalam memperkuat karakter peserta didik di lembaga pendidikan Islam. Model ini berangkat dari tradisi pesantren yang selama berabad-abad terbukti efektif membentuk pribadi santri yang berakhlak, disiplin, mandiri, dan berkomitmen tinggi terhadap nilai-nilai moral. Latar belakang penelitian muncul dari kebutuhan sekolah dan madrasah modern untuk mengimplementasikan pola manajemen yang tidak semata menekankan aspek administratif, tetapi juga menghadirkan nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter yang hidup dalam keseharian peserta didik. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan kajian kepustakaan melalui penelusuran konsep, teori, dan hasil penelitian yang relevan mengenai manajemen pesantren, pendidikan karakter, dan model kelembagaan Islam. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa manajemen berbasis pesantren memiliki enam elemen utama yang berperan signifikan dalam penguatan karakter: kepemimpinan kiai yang karismatis, pembiasaan 24 jam melalui sistem asrama, internalisasi nilai melalui keteladanan, pembelajaran terpadu antara ilmu agama dan keterampilan hidup, disiplin yang ditopang oleh regulasi bernilai moral, serta budaya kolektif yang menekankan kebersamaan dan tanggung jawab sosial. Keenam elemen tersebut saling menguatkan dan membentuk ekosistem pendidikan yang holistik. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa model manajemen berbasis pesantren dapat menjadi inspirasi pengembangan karakter di sekolah modern karena menggabungkan kontrol sosial, nilai spiritual, dan pembiasaan jangka panjang yang terbukti efektif membentuk kepribadian berkarakter kuat.
