This research is grounded in the importance of emotional intelligence in influencing students' academic success. At the distinguished Islamic junior high school “Ulumul Quran” in South Aceh, learning Arabic requires high motivation, which is closely related to students’ ability to manage their emotions. This study aims to determine the relationship between emotional intelligence and Arabic learning motivation among students of this school. The method used is the quantitative correlational method, employing the Spearman correlation test on a sample of 75 students. The results show a positive and statistically significant relationship between emotional intelligence and Arabic learning motivation (r = 0.579; significance value = 0.000 < 0.05). Accordingly, the alternative hypothesis is accepted. The conclusion of this study is that the higher the students’ emotional intelligence, the higher their motivation to learn Arabic.
